Sir William de Bostoc, lord of Botoc, knight, living at the time of Henry III, said in Cheshire pedigrees to be descended from Osmer, the Saxon lord of Bostoc. Sir William was living 1209-1229 and 18 Henry III. Sir William married as his second wife, Elizabeth, daughter of James lord of Audeley and Heleigh.

In the beginning of Henry III (at the time of Philip de Orreby, 1209-1229), William, grandson of Warin de Bostock, adknowledged in a full county court, that he held his land from Warin de Vernon, baron of Shipbrook, "by ploughing and shearing his lords demesne lands," a record of villenage tenure.

William, son of Gilbert Bostock, acknowledged in County Court that he held his lands of Warren Veron, baron of Shipbrook. He shows up often in documents which relate to the town of Middlewich and the salt industry, 1255-1295. In 1295, he is referred to as "lord of Bostock. He was a juror in 1289, and a plintiff in a case against Nicholas Hova dealing with a pice of woodland in Moulton on 22 Feb 1289. He lost the action.

William is said to have married, as his first wife, Elizabeth, daughter of James d'Audley, lord of Audley & Heleigh, Staffordshire. Later he married a second time to Aimce who is named in a suit where she is described as his widow.

William married Elizabeth de Audley, daughter of Sir James de Audley Knight, Justiciar of Ireland and Ela de Longespée.⁷¹³ (Elizabeth de Audley was born about 1247 in Heleigh Castle, Audley, Staffordshire, England.)
