Gilbert shows up in a charter in which Gilbert de Bostock surrenders firshing rights in the river Dane in favor of the Baron of Shipbrook. His name appears again in a document dated 1218 which says "Gilbert et Willemo de Bostoc filio suo," as a witness to the grant of the manor of Marbury made by Warren Vernon to his son William.
