Sir John d'Oyly, of Rauton, living 1272 to 1313 at Rauton, died soon after. By his first and unknown wife he had a son, also named Sir John d'Oyly who married Alice, daughter of John de Stoke, Lord of Stoke. Sir John, the elder, married, as his second wife, Joane, daughter of Sir Robert Knightly. By Joane he had a son, Henry d'Oyly, Lord of Gnowshall and Couley; and a daughter Alice d'Oyly.865
