• Background Information. 1115 Henry de Erdington was the son and heir of Giles de Erdington of Erdington and Aston. Henry married Maud, daughter of Roger de Someri, Baron of Dudley, one of the coheirs of Nicola, daughter and coheiress of Hugo d'Albini, Earl of Arundel.
In 1277, Henry de Erdington accompanied King Edward I on his Welsh expedition, serving under the banner of William de Beauchamp, Earl of Warwick. Henry died in 1282, possessed of vast estates in Warwickshire, Leicestershire, Shropshire and Staffordshire.
