Sir John was the son and heir of Sir Thomas Booth, of Barton, by Ellen, daughter of Robert de Workesley, son and heir of John Booth, living in the reign of King Edward, by Agnes, daughter and heir of Gilbert de Barton, Lord of Barton, near Eccles, Lancashire. 784 Noted events in her life were: • Family Background. 842 Margery married Sir John le Byron Knight, son of Sir Richard le Byron Knight and Joan Colwick.
