Richardson's Magna Carta Ancestry, p. 499 & Plantagenet Ancestry, p. 400, has a note that this Margaret de Holand who married John la Warre before 1326, and daughter of Sir Robert de Holland and Maud le Zouche, may also be same Margaret who was married to Sir John Tempest, the younger living in 1347. Sir John Tempest and Margaret Holland had a son, Richard Tempest who died in 1428 and served as deputy for John Holland, Duke of Exeter, as lieutenant of Carlisle and Warden of the West March in 1397. 599,821

Lanc. knt by Maud daughter of Alan, Lord Zouch of Ashby [Dodsw. MSS, vol. 6, fol. 54 and Visita: of Devon 1546, sub Holand]. Sir Robert Holand was secretary to Thomas, earl of Lancaster who rebelled in 1316, and again later, being beheaded 3 Oct 1328, his son and heir Robert Holand then aged 17. Maude Zouche, b. circa 1290, aged 24 when her father Alan died May 1314, and was wife of Sir Robert Holand before 1311 [Vic: C. H. Lanc: vol. 6, p.131 etc. and Inq: p.m.].
