Richard, married Anne, daughter and coheir of William Praers, of Badleleighe, Cheshire, by his wife Letitia, one of the heirs of William Wittenhall, of Cholmeston, in Cheshire, by whom he had John, his son and heir, who married Margery, daughter of Sir Thomas Massey, of Tatton, also in Cheshire, Knight, by whom he had issue Thomas, Edward, Ralph, who all died without issue, and William who married Margaret, daughter and heir of Ralph Manwaring, of Badilegh, and left issue Sir John de Bromley, Knight, who departed this life, in 3 Henry VII, leaving, by Joan his wife, daughter and heir of William Hexstall, three daughters his coheirs.

Sir John Bromley was the son and heir of Richard de Bromley and his wife Agnes. In his Inq. p.m., 7 Henry V, John de Bromley, chivr. held in demesne, as of fee, the manors of Badinton and Bromhall from James lord of Audelegh, by Knight's service: Val. p.a. 40 marks. He also held the manor of Cholmunderston and half the manor of Alvaston; and lands in Alstanston, Wolstanwoo, Monks Copenhall and Church Copenhall. He died on the Monday next before the Feast of the nativity of St. Mary the virgin 7 Henry V, William de Bromley, his son and heir, was age 13 years old. William was eloined by Margery his mother, and was then in the custody of Randle de Maynwaryning. The Inq. p.m. goes on to say "that the said John de Bromley, knt. on Monday next before the Feast of the Nativivty of S. John the Baptist 4 Hen. V proposing to go into France in the king's retinue, demised to Margery his wife, the manor of Badynton aforesaid, enjoing (distanced herself) her to live there, and to confrom to the counsel of Alice, late wife of John le Mascy of Tatton, knit. her mother, and to Thomas le Mascy of Tatton her brother, during his absence; and that the said Margery during the absence of her husband, committed adultery with one Thomas de Wetenhale, with whom she eloped, and lived at Wich Malbank during the life of the said John, without any reconciliation having taken place between her and the said John."

Sir John Bromley and Margery Mascy had sons, Thomas, William, Richard and Randle. William succeeded as heir to his brother Thomas, who seems to have died in the lifetime of his father without issue.

According to Ian Bromley in his book Bromley: A Midlands Family History, pp. 40-42, Sir John Bromley is "recognized as one of England's greatest heroes during the reign of Henry V." He was one of the warriors distinguished in the French expedition and was at the battle of Corbie on 17 Oct 1415. Sir John Bromely was wounded in a battle to take Caudebec on the Seine in France. He died of his wounds on 4 Sept 1419.

John married Margery Mascy, daughter of Sir John Mascy Knight and Alice de Worsley, in 1385 in Baddington, Cheshire, England ⁷¹³.^,784
