While her father was at a festive banquet given him by some friends, she stole away, met William de Stanley; they rode across country to Astbey Church, where they were married in the presence of two friends. 157

~The History of the House of Stanley, p. 13, also names William's wife as Joanna or Jane, the eldest daughter of one of the coheris of Thomas Banville. It also says that they had two sons, William and John. 866
