Nicolás Lucero and María Montoya had two other sons: Juan, born in Bernalillo, who was 23 when he married María López Olguín, 15, born at El Paso, in Santa Fe on Mar. 6, 1696 (DM, 1696, nos. 24, 32); here the mother's name is given as "de Vera" instead of Montoya, which makes her a daughter or granddaughter of Diego de Montoya and María Ortiz de Vera, or Baca. Miguel was the other son, as we definitely learn from his marriage to Angela Teresa Vallejo in 1700 at Bernalillo, where he was stationed as a soldier.
