• Background Information: 252 Juan Griego was living in Alburquerque in 1718, when he sold some land in Santa Fé. His wife was Juliana Sáiz, sister of Francisco Sáiz. Without a doubt, he was one of the two young "Juan Griego" men who passed muster in 1680.
Two known children were: Joaquín, who was married to Francisca de la Luz Candelaria in 1768, and Tomasa, born on January 6, 1736.

Juan Griego's wife, Antonia Varela died before 1716. He married Juliana Saíz of Santa Fé in 1716 in Alburquerque. A sister of his, Josefa, married José Romero in 1699. Both were children of Alférez Blas Griego, deceased and Ynes Romero of El Paso. Ynes Romero was still living at San Lorenzo del Paso at the time. Their father, Blas, was an uncle of Josefa Pacheco, bride of José Baca, and thirty years old in 1684.
