Noted events in his life were:
• Background Information. 141 Thomas Tuchet, son and heir of Simón Tuchet, appeared in 1205 as a tenant of the Earl of Chester and was in control of Ashwell in 1209. He was a Commissioner to survey the forest in Derbyshire in 1219. In around 1218, Thomas presented to the living of Ashwell church, he made a girft of lands to Wombridge Priory, Salopshre, in 1215-26, and was in ligtigation with the Abbot of Burton, in 1224 and 1226. He appears in 1221, as lord of Lee Gomery, Salopshire, which he most likely inherited from his mother, Pernel. He married Elizabeth, and died sometime before 2 Jan 1234/35. Elizabeth was living in 1245, when she presented to Ashwell church, and stil was likely living in Sep 1248.
