Saher de Sutton, son of Amandus, also called Miles. Saher succeeded his father in 1218, and granted to his brother, William, Parson of Stutton, a fishery in sutton marsh.

Sayer de Sutton II, was a party to a pleas in 1201, of dower brought by Beatrice de Sutton and her husband William de Kadenay. In 1208, he was vouched by the prior of Hedon to warrant land in Ganstead, and in 1210-1211, by fine, exchanged land in Sproatley for other land in Sproatley and Goxhill, Lincolnshire, with Walter de Ver. He was a knight in 1212-1214, and in 1215/6, he and all his men had letters of safe-conduct to go G. de Neville, and he made fine to have the king's grace and good will, and delivered his brother Robert as a hostage. On 25 Oct 1217, the sheriff of Yorkshire was notified that Sayer had came into the king's service. In May 1230, he was one of the wardens of the ports and coasts of Yorkshire, and in June, was directed to release certain ships. In the time of Michael, Abbot of Meaux, he granted to his oldest son Amand substantial lands in Sutton. Amand, however, enter the Abbey as a novice and died there.
