Cockayne's Complete Peerage states that she was widowed twice (first to Ivo Tallebois, then, secondly, to Roger FitzGerold, to whom she bore William de Roumare, Earl of Lincoln) before she married the Lord of Clare.

Cockayne states that Ivo was her first husband. He states that the name of Lucy's father does not seem to have been preserved, but that there is satisfactory evidence that her mother was da. of William Mallet. ¹⁴¹

Ranulph became the largest landholder in Lindsey because of his marriage. His wife is only referred to as Lucy & as a Countess. Likely fathers are prossibly Turold, Sheriff of Lincoln, and William Malet, Seigneur de Graville. There has been lots of debate about this, and many different sources give a different or no father. Katharine S. B. Keats-Rohan of the University of Oxford reasons that Lucy's parents were Turold the Sheriff and his a wife, who was a daughter of William Malet.

Lucy married Ranulf III "le Meschines" Earl of Chester, son of Ranulf vicomte du Bessin and Margaret d’Avranches. (Ranulf III "le Meschines" Earl of Chester was born about 1074 in Briquessart, Livry, France, died in Jan 1128-1129 in Chester, Cheshire, England and was buried in Abbey of St. Werburgh, Chester, England ¹⁶⁰.)
