• Background Information. 726 Stephen was the Chief Justice of Ireland and Earl of Ulster. He married Emmeline, Countess of Ulster, daughter and heiress of Walter de Relelesford, Baron of Bray in Ireland.

• Background Information. 141 Stephen Longspée, third son of William Longspée, married Emeline, the widow of Hugh de Lacy, sometime between 8 Feb 1242/3 and 14 Dec 1244. Emeline was the daughter and coheir of Walter de Ridelisford, lord of Bray and his wife Annora. Stephen Longspée had been at sometime Seneschal of Gascony and Justiciar of Ireland, and he died before his wife, Emeline who was living 18 May 1275 and died shoretly before `9 Jul 1276.
Stephen and Emeline were the parents of two daughters, Ela and Emeline. Ela married Robert la Zouche and died before her mother, leaving a son Alan, aged 8 and coheir to his grandmother in 1266, who was summoned to Parliment in 1299 as Lord Zouche. Emeline, was the younger of the two daughters and she married Maurice, second son of Maurice Fitz Gerald, second lord of Offaly, and was aged twenty-four and more in 1276.

Stephen married Emmeline de Ridelisford, daughter of Walter de Ridelisford Lord of Bray and Unknown.1129 (Emmeline de Ridelisford was born about 1223 in Carriebenan, Kildare, Ireland and died about 1276 in England 1129.)
