• Background Information. 141 Henry le Scrope, son and heir, of Flotmanby and Wensley. Apart from the grant to him by his parents, he is known only as recipient of quitclaims by his cousins Maud and Alice in respect of two bovates of land and a windmill in Flotmanby, with land in Folkton and elsewhere, formerly held by their father Philip; and as making, as Henry son of Simon Scrope, grants to Bridlington Priory of land in Flotmanby, Folkton, Hunmanby, and Willerby.
Henry le Scrope married Juliane, daughter of Roger Brun of Fylingdales, Yorks. According to Simon, parson of Wensley, he was buried in Wensley churchyard under a stone beside that of his father Simon.
