On 2 Sep, Fray Manuel Rojo, when writing to Fray Juan José Junco of this marriage, said that there was no impediment since the couple were 3rd to 5th cousins at the most; here he referred to the groom as "our Juan José." and to the much older bride as being "Vieja y fea."
