• Background Information. 1511 Ana de Garmarda was the youngest daughter of Pedro de Quiroga by his second wife. She was married to Juan Borruel de Luna before 1572, at which time Juan Borruel received a grant of land in the Valle de La Poana from Ana's father. One of the sons of Ana and Juan was named after his grandfather, Pedro de Quiroga, which allowed the family name to continue.
