Noted events in her life were:
• Background Information. 1192 John Cockayne, one of the three sons of William and Sarah Cockayne, married a daughter of Sir William de Kniveton of Bradley, co. Derby. By this marriage, he had a son, also named John. This was Sir John Cockayne of Ashbourne, 1357, M.P. for the county of Derby who married Letitia. Letitia survied Sir John and remarried a member of the family of Fitz Herbert of co. Derby, 1360. Letitia brought into the Cockayne family the manor of Clifton, near Ashbourne, with other propery.

Letitia married John Cokayne, son of John Cokayne and Daughter of Sir William de Kniveton 1190.,1192 (John Cokayne died after 1357 in Ashbourne Hall, Derbyshire, England 1192.)
