• Background Information. 1204 Nicholas de Haversham was the son of another Nicholas de Haversham who died iin 1251. This Nicholas died in 1274, leaving a daughter and heir named Maud, who was then only six months old, and a widow Joan, who was assigned the manor.

• Background Information. 1246 Nicholas de Haversham, who gained a grant of the manor of Haversham manor of Claybrooke from Ernald de Bosco (brother-in-law). Nicholas Haversham had issue by his wife, Emma Bosco, of one son also named Nicholas Haversham. The second Nicholas Haversham died in 1274, leaving by his wife Joan, who survived her husband, an only daughter and heir, Matilda, an infant under 12 months old.
