• Background Information. 1207 The name of Richard de Montfíchet's wife was Milicent, but her family name is not known. Thaey had issue one son and three daughters:
Richard, son and heir who died without issue Margaret, wife of Hugh de Bolbec (and Peter de Faucomberge) Aveline, wife of William de Fortibus, Earl of Albemarle Philippa, wife of Hugh de Plaiz, of Weeting, in Norfolk
Milicent did not remain a widow, in 1204, she paid 400 marcs to the King for liberty to marry William de Warren, lord of Wormegay in Norfolk, [Dugdale Baronage] who shortly afterwards paid 100 marcs to the King on her behalf that might have her reasonable dower as widow of Richard de Montfíchet.

Milicent married Richard de Montfíchet, son of Gilbert de Montfíchet and Aveline de Lucy.1207 (Richard de Montfíchet was born about 1155 in Stanstead Mountfitchet, Bishop's Stortford, Essex, England and died in 1202 in Rome 1207.)
