Nicholas was the heir to his brother, but died 4 or 10 Dec 1322 without livery of his brother's land. Sir Nicholas d'Engaine and his wife, Amice, daughter of Sir Walter de Faucomberge, were the parents of Sir John d'Engaine who was nephew and heir of Nicholas's brother.
