Christian Settipani-States that "Charles (Charlemagne) Married a girl of very noble race of Suevians, Hildegarde by name. She was issued from Godefred, duke of Alamans. Godefred had for a son Huoching of whom was was born Nebi and from Nebi, Emma gave birth to Hildegarde." ¹⁶²

Hildegarde's mother was Emma, daughter of Nebi, count of Alemania. Nebi was the son of Houching, who was the son of Godefried, Duke of Alemania, 687-709. ¹⁶⁰

Emma married Gerold of Swabia Count of Linzgau & Prefect of Bavaria. (Gerold of Swabia Count of Linzgau & Prefect of Bavaria was born circa 725 and died in 799 in battle against the Avars.)
