• Web Reference: Charles Cawley's Medieval Lands, Guillaume comté de Périgueux et d’Agen. "Alduino (et) Willelmo" are named as sons of "Vulgrimnus" by Ademar, who specifies that Guillaume inherited Périgord [Ademari Historiarum III.20, MGH SS IV, p. 123]. He succeeded as Comte de Périgord et d'Agen. Guillaume married Regilindis, daughter of Raymond I comté de Toulouse and his wife Berthe. The Historia Pontificum et Comitum Engolismensis records that "Guillermo...Agennum" married "sorore Guillermi Tolosani" [Historia Pontificum et Comitum Engolismensis, XIV, p. 20]. The relationship is clarified in a later passage in the same source which records that "Bernardo, nepote Odonis" killed "Lambertus vicecomes et Rannulfus frater eius" [Historia Pontificum et Comitum Engolismensis, XIV, p. 21]. The identification of "Bernardo" is confirmed by the Chronicle of Adémar de Chabannes which records the same incident, clarifying that Bernard was the son of Guillaume Comte de Périgord [Adémar de Chabannes III, 23, p. 145].
Guillaume married Regilinda de Toulouse, daughter of Raimund I Marqui de Toulouse and Berthe de Reims. (Regilinda de Toulouse died circa 860.)
