Joan Champernoun, married by license dated 4 Feb 1538, Anthony Denny, Knight of Cheshunt, Hertfordshire, second son of Edmund Denny, Knight of Cheshunt, Hertfordshire, by his second wife, Mary, daughter and heiress of Robert Troutbeck, of Bridge Trafford, Plemonstall, Cheshire. Anthony Denny, was born 16 Jan 1500/1. Joan and Anthony Denny had five sons, Henry, Edward, Knt., Arthur, Charles and Edmund. They also had three daughters, Douglas (wife of John Dyve, Esq.), Mary, and Honora (wife of Thomas Wingfield). Sir Anthony Denny died at Cheshunt, Hertfordshire, 10 Sep 1549, and was buried at Cheshunt. His widow, Joan's will was proved 1553.
