Web Reference: Charles Cawley's Medieval Lands, Clemence de Mayenne. "Robertus de Sabolio et Hersent mater eius et Clementia uxor eius et Petrus de Brion" founded the abbey of Bois-Renon by charter dated 1189, which specifies that "Robertus de Sabolio" donated property granted by "Juellus Dominus Meduana vice maritiagii Clementiĉ sororis suĉ" for the soul of "Clementiĉ uxoris suĉ" [739]. Her parentage is confirmed by the the charter dated 1205 under which her daughter "Margarita domina Sabolii" confirmed donations to Fontaine-Daniel by "avunculi mei domini Juhelli de Meduana"[740].
Clemence married Robert de Sablé, son of Robert de Sablé and Hersende. (Robert de Sablé died in 1195.)
