William de Hooton

William Hooton (Houghton) obtained his tenement in Hooton, Cheshire from James de Coghaull and his wife Agnes. He held these lands in 15 Edward II (8 July 1321-7 July 1322).

This William was most probably son of William, and father of Henry de Hooton, who occurs often in Recognizane Rolls during the nearly the whole reign of Edward III.
