• Background Information. 288 Adam de Boothes was the paternal ancestor of the Boothe, Booth, Bouthe & Boothes family. It is believed that the Boothes was among the Normans who came over to England with William the Conqueror about the year 1066 and settled in Lancastershire, where his son William was living in 1275.
