Geoffrey de Tregoz married Annabil, daughter of Robert Greasley, by whom he had four daughter and one son, William de Tegoz who was his successor.

• Background Information. 234 On the Pipe Roll of 1173, Billingford is mentioned as belonging to Geoffrey de Tregoz. In 1175, the sheriff of Essex accounts for the issues of "the land of Geoffrey de Tregoz," who was dead already for some four years. [Pipe Roll of 1171, p. 124]. The Rotulus de Dominabus of 1185 tells us that his widown, Amabilia, daughter of Robert de Gresley was then living, and that his son, William, then 17 or 18 years old, had married a daughter of Robert de Lucy, to whom he had been in ward.

• Background Information. 1007 From The Topographer and Genealogists, 1853, Vol. II, pp. 124-125:
"Geoffry Tregoze, expoused Annabella, daughter of Robert Gresley, and , dying in or before 21 Henry II 1175, the sheriff of Essex in that year accounted to the exchequer, for the amount of his lands, by the name of an "Honour." He had issue, with four daughters, whose names are unacertained, a son and heir. His wife survived, and was living [as] his widow 32 Henry II 1185/6, when she held the manor of Dunstable, then valued 12l per ann."
