~ Glover's, The Visitation of Cheshire in the Year 1589, p. 83, shows the pedigree of Richard de Kingesley, son of Ralph de Kingesley and grandson of another, and four of his daughters. His daughters given are: Emma, married to William Gerard and mother and grandmother to two succeeding William Gerards; Agnes, married to William Lanncelin; Avice, married to Randolph de Thornton and mother to Piers de Thornton and Ciceley, wife of David Egerton, son of Phillip de Mallpas; and Jane, wife of Henry Done and mother to Richard Done. 527

• Background Information. 713 Sir Richard de Kyngeslegh, 1234, he was brother and heir to Ranulph. He had a suit with Mabell de Moston respecting Norley, 1237/8. His ob. was between 1241 and 1244, being a witness in 1241 to a grant to Stanlawe Abbey.
Richard de Kingsley married Joan, daughter of Alexander Sylvester of Storeton, forester of Wirral. By another wife, he was father to Ranulph, who d.s.p. and five daughters and coheiresses: Emma, wife of William Gerard; Agnes, wife of William Lancelyn; Amicia, wife of Randle le Roter of Thornton; Joan, wife of Henry Donne; and Margaret, wife of Richard de Cholmondeley.
