Richard, son of Henry and Joan, was granted land in Worsley by his father during the life of his father. [Final Conc. vol i. p. 187] At this time, even though Henry, the father was still alive, sons Richard and Robert were in the guardianship of one Robert de Ashton. Roger the Barker of Salford had been trustee of Henry's Worsley manor, and he granted one-third of this manor to Richard de Worsley, with the remainer going Richard's son Henry. Richard's Uncle, Jordan de Worsley, also granted him lands in the mill house in Worsley in 1305. [Final Conc, ii, p.11] Richard's step-mother, Margaret had married Robert de Radclyffe, and part of their settlement of Margaret's dower was that Robert's son and heir William would marry Richard's daughter Ellen.

Richard, who was living in 1332, was succeeded by his son Henry. This Henry was dead by 1350, and the family estates were passed to his grandson, Sir Geoffrey de Worsley, son of Geoffrey. Sir Geoffrey died without legal heirs, and the manor then went to Sir Geoffrey's sister Alice, married to Sir John Massey.
