• Background Information. 1055 Sir William de Molineus, the eldest son and heir, had two wives. His 1st wife was Joan, the daughter and heir of Jordan Ellall, of Wyresdale, by Alice his wife, one of the daughters and coheirs of Thomas de Twenge. With Alice, his first wife, he had several sons including Sir William and Sir Thomas of Kuerdale. Sir William, son of Sir William and Alice Twenge, was the eldest son and the husband of Jane Holand, daughter and heir of Sir Robert Holand and Margaret, daughter of Alan Heyton, as well as the 2nd wife of his father (therefore his stepmother).
Sir William's 2nd wife was lady Margaret, the widow of Sir Robert Holand of Enkeston, Knight (brother to Sir Thomas Holand, of Bushell, Knight of the Garter) and daughter and heir of Sir Alan Heyton, of Bushell, Knight.
