• Background Information: 252 Martín Fernández Valerio was around the age of 12 when he came from Sombrerete in 1694. Shortly after the Reconquest, he attended a small school for boys conducted by Father Azebedo.
He was forty-eight years old in 1730, married and residing in Santa Fé. He was referred to as "Martín Fernández Valerios" at Pojoaque on 12 May 1748.
