• Dates & Events. 252 Juan Antonio Padilla came from Guadalupe del Paso to Santa Cruz in the Río Arriba area at the beginning of the century. He signed his name as "Juan de Padilla," in 1720. He married Margarita Martín, daughter of Captain Sebastián Martín de La Soledad, but died by 1731, when his widow married Bernardo Roybal.
Their daughter, Juana, was the wife of Carlos Fernández of Taos, who was after his wife's inheritance in 1744. Her younger sister, Bárbara, was living with her, while Julián and Tomás, younger children, went to the care of one their Martín uncles.
