*Different sources have a various combinations of just who was William de Belward' wife. From The Baronetage of England , "William . . . married the daughter of Hugh Keveliock." From Miscellanea Genealogica Et Heraldical, "William le Belward of Malpas lived in tyme of King Stephen he was lord of ye Moity of Malpas & married Beatrix daughter to Hugh Kivilock & Coheir to her Brother Randle E. of Chester" Collins's Peerage doesn't name a wife. From Burke's A General and Heraldic Dictionary of the Peerage and Baronetage of the British Empire, "William le Belward, baron of Malpas, who m. Beatrix, illegitimate daughter of Hugh (Kevelioc,) Earl of Chester."
His wife is called Tanust, natural daughter of Hugh Kevelioc, Palatine, earl of Chester, but according to the family rool, Beatrix, 6th daughter of Randall of Chester, from George Ormerod's The History of County Palatine and City of Chester, Vol II, pg. 628
William married Beatrix or Tanglust of Chester, daughter of Hugh Kevelioc Earl of Chester and Unknown.
