Randolf was the Sheriff of Cumbland, 1268-70, and in Yorkshire, 1278-80. By his first wife, Geva (living in 20 Jan 1271/72), he had a son named William who was the father of another Randolf de Darcy. As his second wife, Randolf married Joan, daughter of Alan de Multon by Alice, the second daughter of Richard de Lacy of Egremont and his wife Aude, the first daughter and coheir of Hugh de Moreville. Randolf Darcy was also the son of William de Darce, Sheriff of Cumberland, 1236-488 and 1268, and Yorkshire, 1248-50.
