The ancient family of "Hill of Court Hill," has enjoyed many centures of distinction in the county of Salop.

Hugh Hull, of Hull in that shire, living in the reign of Edward II, espoused Eleanor, daughter and co-heir of Hugh Wlonkeslowe, and had with a daughter, Agnes, who married Edmund de Burghton, and a son and heir named Willian, who was the father of Griffith Hull.
