Later he was under the wardship of Henry Bradshaw of Bradshaw, Lancashire, who arranged for the marriage of Adam with his daughter Jonet. Children of Adam and his wife were: Henry, who married Alice de Mylton; Margaret, who married as her first husband, Hugh Davenport of Henbury, and as her second husband, Thomas de Staveley; Agnes who married Thomas Brett of Davenham; and Elizabeth who is said to have died unmarried.
