bullet  Information about this person:

• Background Information. 713
Badynton was part of the barony of Wich Malbank. By Inquisition, 16 Edward I, is ascertained to have been a dependency of that portion of the barony which passed from Eleanor Malbank to the Audleys. The Chettultons were the mesne lords. William de Chetleton, 19 Edward II, obtained by fine of Gilbert de Legh, chaplain, the manors of Badynton and Bromhale. This William also occurs 9 Edward III in a fine of Richard son of Richard de Wrennebury, from whom he obtained tenements in both manors. William's grandson, William de Chettulton, died without issue and his sister Anabella brought this manor in marriage to William Bromley of Bromely in Staffordshire.
