Geoffrey le Savage

~Cokayne's Complete Peerage, 2nd Edition, Vol. IV. p. 260, Despenser chart has Geoffrey le Savage of Hintes, who died in 1230, married to Pernell, the daughter of Hugh le Despnser, brother to Thomas and Roese who married Stephen de Segrave, and the son of Thomas le Despenser.

Geffrey le Savage, the third, paid his relief and did homage "for half a Knight's Fee being held by his father of the King in this country; which Geffrey," Dugdale continues, "in 12 Hen.III (1227/8) was with Hugh Despenser in the army, for which cause the Sheriff had commanded to respight those demands he made of him (this being the time when Richard Earl of Cornwall, the King's brother, which divers of Barons put themselves rebelliously in armes)." This 3^rd Geffrey Savage married Petronill, daughter of Hugh le Despenser, and dying in 1231 (15 Henry III), left two daughters, Lucia and Philippa, and three sons, Geffrey, Robert and William.
