Ormerod places William as a possible brother of Sir Randle de Praers and a son of Thomas de Praers. William married Sibyll, sister of Thomas de Crew, and had Alice, wife of Richard de Mynsull. Sibyl de Crue, is given by Ormerod as the daughter of Sir Thomas de Crue, lord of Crue, Knight, living 13 Edward I and his first unknown wife.
