Weis' Ancestral Roots of Certain American Colonists Who Came to America before 1700, 8th Edition, 28:31 ¹⁶⁰, Sir Richard Fitz Alan, Earl of Arundel, married Alaisia di Saluzzo, who was born on 4 Feb 1266/7 and died 25 Sep 1292. Alaisia was daughter of Tommaso I, di Saluzzo and Luisa di Ceva, daughter of Giorgio di Ceva, Marquis di Ceva. Tommaso di Saluzzo was the son of Manfredo III, Marquis of Saluzzo (died 1244) by his wife Beatrix de Savoie. Beatrix (died 1259) was daughter of Amadeus IV comte de Savoie (born 1197, died 1258), son of Tomás comte de Savoie (born 1178, died 1233) and his wife Margaret (or Beatrix) of Geneva

Tómas de Maurienne, son of Humbert III comté de Maurienne et de Savoie & his fourth wife Béatrix de Vienne [Bourgogne-Comté] (Château de Carbonara 1178 after 26 Jun-Moncalieri 1 Mar 1233, bur Saint-Michel de la Cluse). An undated charter records a donation to Saint-Maurice by "felicis memorie Humbertus…Savoie comes" and the confirmation by "Thomas filius eiusdem comitis"[Cibrario & Promis (1833), Documenti, p. 101]. Tómas married ([1196]) Margurite [Beatrix] de Genève, daughter of Guillaume [I] Comte de Genève & his second wife Béatrix de Faucigny (-8 Apr 1257, bur Abbaye de Hautecombe). The Chronicle of Alberic de Trois-Fontaines names "Margareta filia domni de Fusceneis de matre Guilelmi, filii Humberti comitis Gebenensis" as wife of "comitis Thome de Sabaudia"[Chronica Albrici Monachi Trium Fontium 1235, MGH SS XXIII, p. 938].

Tomás married Marguerite de Genève, daughter of Guillaume de Genève and Beatrice de Faucigni, about 1196.¹⁰¹⁷ (Marguerite de Genève was born about 1180 in Geneva and died on 13 Apr 1236 in Pierre-Chatel.)
