• Background Information. 141 William married Mabel, the second daughter of Hugh le Meschin, surnamed Kevelioc, Earl of Chester and his wife Bertrade, daughter of Simon, comté d'Evreux in Normandy. Mabel was one of the coheirs to her brother Ranulph de Blunderville, Earl of Chester.
