• Background Information: 141 Amuri de Montfort attested to charters of Robert I of France in 1022, 1028, and again on 4 Feb 1031. He is said to have been the son of William of Hainault. He is said to have married Beatrade, and left two sons, Simon, his heir and successor, and Mainer. They likely had a daughter named Eva, who married William Crispin.

• Web Reference: Charles Cawley's Medieval Lands Seigneurs de Montfort - Amaury de Montfort was the son of Guillaume according to Orderic Vitalis. Orderic Vitalis names "Guillelmi Hanoensis" as father of "Amalrici senioris de Monte-Forti", when recording a visit by Henri I King of France to Fécamp on the advice of Amaury, dated to (1032) [Orderic Vitalis (Prévost), Vol. III, Liber VII, XIV, p. 223]. Amaury married a soman named Betrade of unknown parentage.
Amauri married Bertrarde in 1028. (Bertrarde was born in 995 and died after 1051-1052.)
