This John had grants of lands from King Henry III, and was possessed of the Barony of Bremby, in Sussex, where he died in 1231, by a fall from his horse, his foot staying stuck in the stirrup. he married Margaret, daughter of Llewell, Price of Wales, and the had a son they named William.
