Juan and Ana married sometime in January 1659 before the 17th, when the Vicar General of the Archdiocese of Puebla de los Ágeles, recorded the marriage. In the record, Juan named his parents as Francisco López de Herrera and María Tomasa Vallejo. He states that he was a native of Villa de Guelma in Sevilla, Espańa. Ana said her parents were Manuel Gónzales and Leonor Rosete, and that she was a native of the Pueblo de Acatzingo.
