He was married to Beatriz de Tafoya Altamirano & they were padrinos for two marriages, one, 13 Feb 1734 and the other on 14 Sep 1738. They lived in the Santa Clara area for the first half of the century, moved to Santa Fe by 1758, and finally to the Río Abajo. There he had family connections with the Gonzales Bas family (his mother-in-law's family). He had a son, named Juan Paulino, who was born (baptized) on 3 Jul 1741. Chavez states that he had a second son, Miguel, who lived in San José de las Huertas in 1808. This is more likely his grandson. His name, age and place of marriage link him to Fray José Pérez Mirabal who was a missionary at northern Pueblos from 1722 to 1763.
