Most likely he was the brother of Cayetano and Agustín Lovato, and therefore son of Bartolomé I and Lucía Ana Negrete. He moved to the Río Abajo, likely with a military transfer. He died at the age of seventy and was buried in the military chapel in Santa Fé, 30 Sep 1779.
