He died 10 Jun 1190 on the third Crusade and was buried somewhere in the Holy Land. He married, as his second wife, Beatrix of Burgundy, daughter of Renaud III, comté de Bourgogne by his wife Agatha, daughter of Simon I, Duke of Upper Lorraine. 160

• Web Reference: Charles Cawley's Medieval Lands Simón duc de Lorraine was the son of Thierry II duc de Lorraine and his first wife Hewid von Formback. He married Adelaide de Louvain , daughter of Henri III Comte de Louvain & his wife Gertrude de Flandre. • Web Reference: Simón duc de Lorraine was the son of Thierry II duc de Lorraine and his wife Edwige de Formback. He married in 1112 or 1113 Adelaide of Louvain, daughter of Henry III of Louvain and Gertrude of Flanders, which is the mother-in-law of Simon. Adelaide is buried in the old church of the Notre-Dame de L'Étanche abbey which was destroyed during the Thirty Years War.
