Richad de Hellesby, a.k.a. Richard de Acton, lord of Hellesby, and heir to his uncle Adam. He was living in 1261, and died sometimes around 1263-1268. Richard married Alice, sister of Ranulph de Thorneton and daughter of Sir Ranulph. His wife was a widow in 1268. The Children of Richard and Alice were:

• Alan de Hellesby, a.k.a. de Acton, lord of Hellesby, Quistie birches and 5th of Hatton, circ. 1268. He dieied betwee 17 and 31 Edward I. His wife was Beatirix, eldest daughter and coheir of Adam de Hatton, lord of Hatton.
• Richard de Acton, a.k.a. de Hellesby of Acton, "brother of the lord Alan, son of Richard de Hellesby," living 1268, married a daughter of _____ de Egertoune
• Ranulph de Acton, son of Richard de Hellesby, in about 1250, the lord of a third of Acton in Delamere.
