Jose Gabriel Nazareno de los Dolores Montaño, 23, Spanish, single, the legitimate son of Vicente Montaño and María Rosa Chaves. Antonia García, Spanish, single, the legitimate daughter of Pedro García and Gertrudis Ortiz, citizens of the San Juan jurisdiction. The couple was related in the fourth degree of consanguinity on a transverse line.
José Gabriel informed Father Ramón Antonio González that he had lived for sixteen years in the area, and for seven years in Picuris and Albuquerque. He was related to those families of equal station in the area.
Witnesses: Joaquín Sánchez, 56, citizen of the San Juan jurisdiction, stated that José Gabriel had lived four years in the Picuris jurisdiction and before that in Albuquerque.

Father González stated hat both parties were his parishioners and were related in the fourth degree to two-thirds of the families in the area. They had maintained their and that of their families. Without a dispensation the prospective bride would not be able to keep her lines pure, and the prospective groom could support her properly. Father González sent the proceedings to Durango with Francisco Trespalacios, a businessman from Chihuahua. On 20 Sep 1807, Vicar General Millan Rodríguez granted a dispensation.

1. On 10 Nov 1784 in Alburquerque, Father Bernal baptized Jose Gabriel Nazareno de los Dolores, born on Sunday, 7 Nov 1784, the legitimate son of Juan Vicente Montano and María Rosa Durán Chaves. His godparents were Pablo Armijo and his mother, Alfonsa Lucero [de Godoy] citizens of Alburquerque.
2. In San Juan Pueblo on 17 Jun 1792, Santiago Fernandez: baptized three-day-old Antonia, the legitimate daughter of Pedro García and Gertrudis Ortiz, citizens of the San Juan jurisdiction. Her godfather was Julián Jáquez. The witnesses were Francisco García and Diego Chihuahua, a native of San Juan Pueblo.
3. On 21 Aug 1807, Vicente Montaño and his wife, Rosa Durán y Chaves, granted permission for their son, José Gabriel, to marry Antonia García.
4. On 15 Aug 1807, Pedro García granted permission for his daughter, Antonia Garcia to marry José Gabriel.
